What makes a SNAD (sensitive, New-Age Decepticon) a SNAD?

Screw it, I said that I was gonna wait and see what others thought but I lied -- which means there's a chance that people have already posted to this (a slim one, granted since it's 2:45 am here and most sane folks I know online are already in bed).

SNAD, as I've always understood it, has tended to mean those Decepticons who are apologetic about being a Decepticon. They're part of the Empire, but they don't like harming Autobots, they see no point in senseless cruelty and they believe in codes of honor and decency that seem at odds with the Decepticons as they're portrayed in canon. The characters seem to be Decepticons only because their creator prefers 'Cons to 'Bots.

(Might add more later, tired now. Going to sleep)

Dun.
