eid_ka_chand is running a sponsored fanfic-athon for the victims of the Pakistan floods. The way it works is that they've solicited donations per types of fanworks -- such as "X dollars/pounds/yen/stone coins from Yap for every fanwork submitted" -- and now they're looking for folks to create works to help raise as much money as possible. There's a breakdown here.
The requirements are thus: the work -- vid, fic, meta, fanart -- should focus on Muslim characters (the comm has an *extensive* list). They're also asking for fics to be over 1,000 words. Works are due by Sept. 11 so, yeah...short notice but it's for a good cause.
