Really interesting. Just had a similar discussion on my journal (and others) about "warning" for sexual content and labeling in general with terms like "slash" and "het".
I don't like labeling stories; listing the pairings or combination of characters a/b/c in the header is sufficient.
Torchwood is my main fandom, and counting all main characters over the course of two seasons, two are omnisexual, two are bi and two others have at least kissed someone of another gender.
I don't post on any fic archives where one has to choose slash OR het, but it makes one wonder how a threesome is classified.
