Some of the people on my flist may have heard of James Hance, but if not, he's somewhat popular for his "relentlessly cheerful art," which tends to focus on Muppet and Star Wars related paintings and prints. They can be found here. His daughter suffers from a rare intestinal disorder that has cost them thousands in hospital expenses, so he's holding a donation campaign called "Hugs for Maddy" to help ease the strain financially. You can give either through straight donation or buy buying his prints/commissioning art.
I realize plenty of people on my flist have their own financial difficulties right now, so if you choose not to donate, please feel free to boost the signals on facebook or other online communities. :)
