Yeah, I know -- right after I posted it I realized I should have indicated which quote was from who. *doh* One day, with luck, LJ will have an edit comment feature.
Now, the grown up part of me says that arguing with the type of person who thinks that they're doing you a favor by posting their fics is like trying to teach a pig to sing -- ultimately unsuccessful and frustrating to both parties.
That said, I've done it and I'll probably do it again. Because usually I don't find out that the person thinks they're Goldberg's gift to fandom until after I start talking to them. The guy I mentioned higher up in the thread who said that spelling "carry" as "carrey" was a tribute to his favorite commedian, for instance. Then, I try to cut my losses and get out while I still have my sanity and my temper intact.
