It's Vortex Weather

I had a longer post started for this but...ehh, it's too close to time to get ready to go to work to finish it the way I wanted to.

It's apparently going to be Vortex weather out tonight. The weather channel website is saying we might be in line for a rare condition called a blizzard tornado -- tornadoes in the snow. That with ice and snow and general crappiness that's supposed to start right about the time Amy and I are supposed to head into work.

Fuck.

thanks; so far, all is quiet. I'm hoping that the worst of it is going to hit further south of us and that the worst of it isn't that bad.

Just to be careful, we're taking some extra clothes and food and blankets to work just in case we're stuck there. I am really scared of the idea that we're going to get hit with a severe ice storm. Been through one of those already, do not want to do it again ever -- though you probably know what I mean *G*.

Blizzard tornado? I've lived in blizzard country all my life and there are tornados sometimes in the summer but I've never heard of that.

Bizarre. Somebody tell Tarantulas to stop playing with the weather.
