Crazy video ideas

Is it wrong that I hear "You're Pitiful" by Weird Al (that's, uh, not him in the video and the song's also available for download from Weird Al's site) and my first thought is: I want to make a video using footage of the Decepticons? (all of 'em, not just the ones I don't like!)

Particularly Megatron and Nightbird on the line: "Never had a date, that you couldn't inflate..." (Amy says that'd get me fanlynched).

It's nothing personal against the Decepticons, I just figure it'd be a nice change from all the pro-Decepticon videos out there on YouTube that have the driving heavy metal music in the background and stuff.

'course, that's all in theory since I have no clue how to make a video and I can't get my computer or Amy's to take video clips from the Rhino TF DVDs we have and I don't have DVDs with the episodes I want to use and I don't want to get fanlynched (though I'd happily do one about the Autobots too, 'cause Prime having sex with REVIVING Elita-1 fits for the "date you couldn't inflate" line.

Dun, who can't even fall back on the excuse that it's 5:37 am local time 'cause normally I'm an hour away from going home from work at this time. Damn.

PS: I also want to do one to "Bring Me to Life" with Starscream and the Combaticons 'cause I've got no sense of decency any more.

Possibly it's just because Decepticon fans often also like heavy metal. I know that I want to (someday, when my sound works) make a video of Combaticons to "Wildfire" by Sonata Arctica.

And I like "Bring Me To Life", so I'm going to a special pit of fandom.

Chimera@TF2K5 makes AMVs. Perhaps she could point you at some helpful websites on the making of them?

Oh heck, I *like* Heavy Metal, I just also have a huge imp of the perverse that says "C'mon, DO IT! It'll be funny!" *grins*

And for what it's worth, I like "Bring Me To Life" too.

The main stopping point for making videos for me right now is a lack of source material. I've got no video clips that I can use, but I'll keep that in mind.

lol, I like Bring Me to Life too. Doesn't mean I don't wish people would stop writing bad!songfic to it, but there you go...

And Decepticons and Heavy Metal go together like peanut butter and jelly. Very yummy jelly.
