I wouldn't personally be rude unless the other party had been rude first - and incidentally, I'm not the one who made the "...toes rot off comment". If someone doesn't want my advice, that's their choice. I can't even guarantee my advice would be any good!

The only writers who really get up my nose are the ones who think *they* are doing you a favour by posting their stuff, and you should be duly thankful to have been allowed to read it. Oddly, it's never the good ones who think that.
