Sunshine Challenge: Day 5: Wishlist Fulfillment
Prompt 5: Wish Fulfilment:
For more on the
sunshine_challenge click on the link.
The idea behind this challenge, the idea is/was to look around and find someone else's wish to fulfill for them. This is my wishlist for folks who might be looking for something.
Really, all I'd like is for folks to say howdy.
Ok, also, if you'd like to read my fics and leave a comment, that would be awesome. My stuff can be found at:
kepulver @ Fanfiction.Net or at
dunmurderin. The fandoms I've written in include Transformers (mostly related to the G1 cartoon/comics), GI Joe (both Real American Hero and Sigma Six), Jem and the Holograms, Star Wars (based primarily in the Clone Wars cartoon and the Republic Commandos books/video game universe) and some X-Men: Age of Apocalypse stories.
Actually, if you read anything of mine and leave a comment on it, that would be awesome! I have a non-fannish journal over at Doomsday Writer @ Wordpress.com.

Have you read the IDW Jem comics? I suspect they're a different take compared to the 80s cartoon, but I enjoyed going through their trades and getting to know the Holograms this time around.

I think that's one of the advantages Jem and the Holograms had over GI Joe and/or Transformers: smaller cast = more chance at character development.

howdy!
Yeah. I honestly just appreciate being reminded that other people are out there.

socializing
I have this fantasy house in my mind where all my fannish friends could live together with a big shared library, etc. But even in my fantasy world, I draw lines. There need to be two refrigerators, one for community sharing and one where everyone has a labeled bin and you leave other people's bins alone. There need to be two TV rooms full of comfy furniture so not everyone has to agree on the same thing at the same time; some people can watch a movie while others game, etc. A messy art room where it's okay if you accidentally get paint on the wall and a clean sewing/crafting room where you never bring in anything that might spill. Lots of common spaces where people can hang out and chat, but everyone has a private bedroom and bathroom so you can comfortably retreat when you need alone time. I vacillate between craving human contact and wanting to hide under a rock.
Re: socializing
I think something like a compound where you've got a big lodge style house where folks can congregate for social time and there's a library,, art room, etc. and then little cottages where folks can sleep/recharge/decompress, would be my ideal communal living situation.
