Eras of GI Joe: Like Transformers, GI Joe has appeared in many different and sometimes conflicting incarnations. This list is an attempt to outline the various appearances of GI Joe 'cause I'm just that bored.

It is worth noting that this list primarily focuses on cartoon and comic incarnations of GI Joe. Some aspects of the toyline are mentioned, either for historical reasons or because they touched on either a cartoon or comic incarnation. It should also be noted that GI Joe, like Transformers, had filecards on their toys that gave (sometimes contradictory) information about the characters. YoJoe.com and The Complete Guide to GI Joe: A Real American Hero are your best resources for filecard information.

Next year is the 25th anniversary of the GI Joe Real American Hero line, so I decided that it was time to show some love to my other main fandom with a couple GI Joe 28 Memes. I'm doing one for a RAH hero and one for Sigma 6 (because I owe 100 fanfics about them and am so far behind is not even funny, OMG).

Note: these 28s are the new list created by PuraJo, rather than the original lists created by Raisedbymoogles.

It's my goal to get all these stories done between now and Dec. 31st 2007.

Sigma 6: For this challenge, I'll write about any character featured on Sigma 6, Joe or Cobra.

Note: with Sigma 6 claims, you have the option of selecting a specific character (as was done for "Lonely Sigma 6") or a specific faction (as was done for "Sleeping like a Baby Sigma 6") or just selecting a claim and leaving it up to me who the story is written about.

Spoiler alert: small spoiler for season 2 Sigma 6 under cut in character listings.

STORY TITLE: “Luke 6:42”
AUTHOR: dunmurderin
RATING: PG
FANDOM: GI Joe (specifically, Marvel comics version)
DISCLAIMER: I do not own GI Joe; all dialogue featured in this piece comes from issue #97 of the Marvel GI Joe comic and was written by Larry Hama. Descriptions of some character actions are based on the artwork for the various panels (Snake-Eyes swinging on the doctor, Flint being spun around, etc). The story is told from Snake-Eyes’s viewpoint and that is where I have taken the most liberties since Snake-Eyes himself doesn’t speak or sign anything in these two pages. Story was originally written as an effort to humanize Snake-Eyes.

Permission is granted to the Fanfiction Idol judges to repost/quote from this piece as necessary.
